On 3 February, 2018 (Saturday), the third ever Fung Scholars Welcome Gathering 2018 (the Gathering) was successfully taken place at the Fung Academy, Lai Chi Kok. The event was attended by 31 Fung Scholars (FS), including 7 organising committee members. The Gathering started at 2 pm and lasted for about 3 hours, with a introductory video showcasing attending FS’s exchange photos, ice-breaking games, exchange experience sharing session and networking session included. The overall ambience was cheerful, warm and enjoyable. Feedback from the attendees was generally positive and supportive, expressing that they would like to join FS activities again. On the whole, the Gathering was proved to be smooth and successful while gaining positive comments from the participants. In this connection, we highly recommend the FS to hold similar Welcome Gathering again next year so as to greatly enhance the bonding between FS and to better consolidate the FS’s sense of belonging.
