We are delighted to reflect on the success of this year’s Conference, where our esteemed guests and Fung Scholars came together for an enriching experience. The event was filled with vibrant discussions, insightful presentations, and valuable networking opportunities.
Our keynote speakers truly captivated the audience. Dr. Victor K. Fung highlighted the launch of the Fung Scholars program, designed to provide young individuals with opportunities to explore the world in their early careers while Mr. James Chau inspired attendees with his remarkable life story and the importance of seizing opportunities. Dr. William K. Fung shared profound insights on global supply chain dynamics and Mr. Ka-Mun Chang‘s exploration of global economic challenges resonated deeply.
Feedback from our Fung Scholars highlighted the rewarding nature of the networking sessions, with many noting that connecting with fellow scholars was a highlight of the event. The corporate tours were praised for offering a unique glimpse into the workings of Li & Fung, further enriching the attendees’ experience. Comments about the engaging keynotes were overwhelmingly positive, underscoring that the Conference provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and inspiration.
We wish to convey our deep appreciation to our Emcee, Ms. Karlie Chen (FS 2011/12, Hong Kong Baptist University), and Mr. Henry Chung (FS 2023/24, The Chinese University of Hong Kong), whose vibrant energy and professionalism significantly elevated the event’s atmosphere. Their skill in engaging with the audience and ensuring the program ran seamlessly played a crucial role in fostering a welcoming environment. We are also thankful to our Moderator, Mr. Lingxi Tang (FS 2018/19, The University of Oxford), who expertly moderated the panel discussion with Dr. Victor Fung and Mr. James Chau. His insightful direction and expertise facilitated meaningful exchanges between the speakers and attendees, greatly enhancing the overall experience of the Conference. We sincerely value their commitment and hard work, which were vital to our success.
Additionally, we would like to acknowledge all the helpers who played a vital role in making the Conference a triumph. Our heartfelt thanks go to the registration desk volunteers and our Shanghai Ambassadors, whose contributions ensured the event operated smoothly and provided a fruitful experience to Fung Scholars during the Local Tour in Shanghai. We are equally grateful to the speakers who participated in the Ideas Polygram sessions. Their readiness to share their insights and experiences created an invaluable opportunity for all attendees to learn from one another and engage in fruitful dialogue.
Thank you to all our speakers and participants for making this event a success.
