About the Event

The Hong Kong economy is expected to recover gradually in the coming years, but the overall outlook remains uncertain. In May 2024, during the budget passing, the Financial Secretary, Paul Chan Mo-po, made a statement suggesting that Hong Kong’s economy would not be overly impacted by pessimism. While government stimulus measures and investment in technology and infrastructure may support growth, rising geopolitical tensions, a soft outlook in the property market, worries about the prospects of China’s economy and relatively low confidence about the future may pose challenges.

A question remains, “Does Hong Kong Economy really have bright spots?”.

We are thrilled to announce that Mr. Kwok-chuen KWOK, BBS, JP has graciously accepted our invitation to be the esteemed guest speaker for our upcoming seminar, which will take place at the Explorium in LiFung Tower on 17 August 2024. With his rich experience in navigating the economic ups and downs of the past decades, Mr. Kwok’s insights into the promising areas will undoubtedly be invaluable to our fellow Fung Scholars attending the seminar.
