FS Live Action Role Play Experience – Scabbard《刀鞘》for the 2nd time!

After the success of the first Live Action Role Play (劇本殺) series—Scabbard《刀鞘》, we are excited to bring you the second one! Hosting by John Poon (FS 2016/17, Hong Kong Baptist University)!

Set in the final days of the Chinese Civil War, this historical thriller immerses participants in a world of espionage, betrayal, and high-stakes intelligence work. Step into character, piece together the clues, and uncover the truth in a city on the edge.

Date: 25 May 2025 (Sunday)
Time: 1PM – 7PM
Venue: Explorium, 1/F, LiFung Tower, 868 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Hong Kong
Participation Fee: Deposit $100

*To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants, a participation fee is introduced and will be contributed to purchase of the scripts and props of the event. Each participant will be charged HKD $100 in advance to confirm your registration.

To encourage punctuality and respectful gameplay, a partial refund will be provided under the following conditions:
–Full refund of HKD $50 will be given to participants who arrive on time and fully adhere to the game rules, including but not limited to refraining from spoilers or other disruptive behaviors.
-Partial refunds will be issued for late arrivals:

Arriving 10 minutes late: refund of HKD $35
Arriving 20 minutes late: refund of HKD $20
Arriving 30 minutes late or more (including no show): no refund

All refunds will be processed after the event.

📌Story Synopsis:

December 1948. The Kuomintang’s Security Bureau in Tianjin is facing internal collapse. A planned operation to decapitate the Communist Party’s command structure has failed due to a leak, drawing fury from Deputy Commander Fu Zuoyi. As if that weren’t enough, the Communist underground’s top agent—code-named Scabbard—has died under mysterious circumstances while in custody. Surrounded by the People’s Liberation Army, the Bureau receives urgent orders from Chief Mao Renfeng to brace for the coming siege. As the city braces for war, every move could shift the balance.
1948年12月，國民黨天津保密局一片愁雲慘淡，針對共產黨中央指揮部門的「斬首行動」因為情報洩露而功虧一簣，華北副總司令傅作義大為震怒。
而雪上加霜的是，代號為「刀鞘」的中共地下黨最高負責人，又在獄中離奇死亡。
此時天津城正被解放軍東北野戰軍團團包圍，天津保密局接到局長毛人鳳的命令，要為即將到來的戰爭做最後的準備。

📌 Important Details:

This is a faction-based script（陣營本） where players are divided into opposing camps with different objectives. It combines strategy, deduction, and alliance-building, offering both collaborative and competitive gameplay.
Limited to 7 participants (4 male, 3 female, no cross-casting)
The session will be conducted in Chinese only
