Written by Celine LIM (FS2012-13, Singapore Management University) & Glenn LAI (FS2012-13, Singapore Management University)

The Fung Scholars Singapore Chapter welcomed the new batch of scholars who are embarking their exchange adventure next year as well as returning scholars who have already went on exchange.

We first started with an introduction to the William and Victor Fung Foundation as well as the background information of the Fung Group. Alvin CHUA (FS2011-12, Singapore Management University), one of the founding members of the Singapore Chapter, then shared about the history of the Singapore Chapter and its beginnings. We also gave both new and returning scholars an overview of the past activities of the Singapore Chapter and encouraged them to join us for the coming year. Randy CHEUNG (FS2012-13 ,Singapore Management University) and Glenn also shared about their experience at the Fung Scholars Leadership Conference 2013.

Finally, we concluded the presentation where Glenn and Celine shared about their exchange experiences and Korea and Denmark respectively. We ended the session with lunch and networking among the scholars. All in all, it was a fruitful event. The Singapore Chapter wishes all the best for those embarking on their exchange experience next semester.
