The Big Shift: How We Learn, Work, and Innovate in a Digital World

The Fung Scholars Leadership Conference 2013 was successfully held on 23 November 2013 at Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao. The theme is “Young Leaders in the Digital Age: Implications and Opportunities”. The Conference was attended by 105 Fung Scholars and Fung Fellows from all over the world.

We are honored to have Dr. John Seely BROWN, Consulting Professor at the Department of Management Science and Engineering, University of Southern California (USC), and Mr. Richard KELLY, Innovation, Design, Change of Fung (1937) Management, to be the speakers of the event. Dr. BROWN shared his view on the big shift in the ways of working and learning in a digital world, which was followed by an engaging workshop coordinated by Mr. KELLY and his team. The workshop helped the participants to better understand the power of collaboration and social networks.

In the final session of the Conference, representatives of the Local Chapters of Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing and Shanghai were invited to share their previous events and future plans on developing the local chapters.
The Conference provided an excellent opportunity for the Fung Scholars and Fung Fellows to share ideas meet new people and reconnect with old friends.
